Nabarun is the exclamation mark in Bengali literature. He is the emphatic interjector. His characters shamelessly hustle, behave atrociously, and try to exist in a violently hostile world. The film tries to get into the noisy, grimy, scratchy insides of his mind. Bouncing between pure documentary and fiction, just like Nabarun.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Q is an arts graduate from Calcutta University. He worked in advertising for twelve years in India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, and directed over fifty television commercials, winning various awards on the way. Then, inspired by the independent films of Europe and Japan, retired voluntarily and shifted trade and city. Back in Kolkata, Q started a progressive art collective, OVERDOSE, making original film, design and music. He produces, writes, shoots and directs himself. He works hard on his sense of humour to keep him afloat. His documentary, Love In India won the National Award. Besides that, his cult film Gandu won several awards in different film festivals around the world and also earned him the Best Director award at the SAIFF, New York. Last year, his film Tasher Desh won him critical acclaim all around the world. Currently he is working on two new feature films.
